The Employability Programme is designed specifically for young carers aged 14-25. As a young carer, you likely already have an incredible skill set that includes responsibility, empathy, commitment and independence. These skills can add enormous value and benefit to any team.
This programme helps you prepare for your first job, pursue your dream career, and learn vital life skills. We run CV workshops, mock interviews, and host educational sessions about useful topics such as finance. We also offer in-person days in the workplace at a range of local businesses, so you can get hands-on experience and insider understanding of a variety of careers.
The Making Memories Programme is where you can find our activity days. These are fun, joyful group activities for young carers of varying age groups. The events may be obstacle courses, music workshops, sports days, craft sessions, and more. The MYTIME team run many of these each year, giving you the opportunity to meet new friends, try something exciting and new, and to take a break to simply enjoy being young.
The Level Up Programme is our award-winning scheme that brings training to your teachers and members of school staff. We take a whole-school approach to improving the way that your school supports you and other young carers. This includes training for staff, creating new policies, and the MYTIME team delivering school assemblies to educate students.
When your school can finally see you, they can finally give you the support you need and help other young carers in their care.
