MYTIME Young Carers is Now a CIO

We’re delighted to announce that MYTIME Young Carers is now officially registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO).

This important step marks a new chapter in our development — providing a stronger legal and governance framework to help us grow, operate more efficiently, and better serve the young carers at the heart of everything we do.

Why We Made This Change

Becoming a CIO gives us:

• Greater legal protection and flexibility for how we manage our finances and operations
• More efficient governance structures, helping us stay accountable and future-ready
• A stronger foundation to sustain and expand our impact in the long term

This change supports our commitment to young carers, ensuring we can keep delivering powerful, life-changing programmes well into the future.

What Does This Mean for You?

• Our mission, values, and day-to-day work remain exactly the same.
• We’ll continue to run all existing programmes without interruption.
• We’re simply strengthening the way we operate behind the scenes to serve young carers even better.

New Charity Number & Transition Timeline

As part of the process, we now have a new charity number. You can view our new listing on the Charity Commission website here:

We are currently in the process of updating all of our materials — including legal, financial and communications documents — to reflect our new charity status.

From 1st June 2025, all assets from our current charity (no. 297481) will be transferred to our new incorporated organisation.
